My name is Keith Chaplin, I am a freelance multimedia producer based in Skagit County. I graduated with a Communication degree (emphasis in Journalism) from Washington State University in 2009.
I worked as a staff writer and assistant editor at the Daily Evergreen at WSU, and in the summer of 2008 I had an internship at my hometown newspaper, the Skagit Valley Herald. I have found that I entered the Journalism field at a time of great stress and confusion; but also a time when the canvas for producing quality news is almost daunting. The ability to use different mediums (Audio/Visual/Writing/Combination of all) to tell a story means there are amazing opportunities that were not available to journalists just a short while ago.
